Providing vocational training equipment in the fields of Welding, Mechanical Engineering, and Metal Cutting for Hanoi College of Electro-Mechanics and Dung Quat Vocational College under the Comprehensive Economic Growth Skills and Knowledge Program (SKIEG) project.

Welding Vocational Training Lab is equipped with an automated laser welding and spot welding system; weld seam quality inspection; preparation of welding workpieces, including: conveyor belt for workpiece supply, gripping robot, clamping device, welding robot, and conveyor belt for transferring finished products; ultrasonic welding joint equipment, bending machine, CNC plasma machine.

With the vision of providing high-quality welding technology workforce, keeping pace with the standards of the region and the world, the training system is designed based on the production lines of mechanical engineering and automotive industries. Its purpose is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills, specifically:

  • Understanding the principles of operation of welding robots and various types of automated welding systems.
  • Understanding and practicing programming and controlling welding robots to perform specific welding tasks.
  • Mastering the safe working practices with welding robots and knowing how to handle dangerous situations.
  • Understanding welding materials, welding processes, and quality standards.
  • Ability to repair and maintain welding robots, including replacing faulty components.
  • Applying knowledge and skills to specific industrial applications, such as in the automotive manufacturing, electronics industry, and construction.

Mechanical Machining Training Lab is equipped with a vocational training system for mechanical machining, ranging from basic to advanced levels, updated with modern technology. It includes: lathe machines, milling machines, CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, simulation equipment for lathe and CNC milling, and a reverse design system using 3D scanning technology. The training equipment system is selected and designed based on the actual industrial production in Vietnam and worldwide, with the aim of providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills, specifically:

  • Training students to work in the field of mechanical machining and CNC machine manufacturing technology. Providing the knowledge and skills needed to operate, program, maintain, and repair CNC machining machines, including:
    • Understanding the principles of operation of CNC machining machines and how they interact with control software.
    • Learning how to program CNC machines to perform specific machining processes on different materials.
    • Mastering safety practices with CNC machining machines, including safety rules and accident prevention measures.
    • Understanding the types of cutting tools, machining materials, and cutting techniques.
    • Ability to set up CNC machines, monitor the machining process, and inspect the quality of the product.
    • Knowing how to repair and maintain CNC machines, including replacing faulty components.
    • Applying knowledge and skills to specific industrial applications, such as in the production of mechanical parts, metal processing, and manufacturing industries.
  • Training in the reverse design process using 3D scanning technology:
    • Helping students understand the structure and operation of an existing product or system by analyzing and reverse engineering that product.
    • Assisting in creating new design documentation for continued use or repair of the product when the original design documentation is unavailable or lost
